Amazon has a Green Board, Promises Detailed Post Mortem

by Richard on April 24, 2011

As of 7:35 PM PDT Sunday evening Amazon has flipped the N. Virginia status indicators to green, saying all is back to normal after the worst outage in the short history of cloud computing.

A “Green Board” is a good way to start the week, but there is still work to be done in analyzing what went wrong in the first place.

A post on the AWS Service Heath Dashboard promises, “We are digging deeply into the root causes of this event and will post a detailed post mortem.”

Should make for interesting reading.
